Frequently Asked Questions
Purchasing a kitten is not an easy decision, and I’m sure you have a lot of questions about how this process works. For that reason, I have compiled some of my forever families' most common questions into the list below. If you would like further information, please feel free to contact me.
WHAT IS THE ADOPTION AND PURCHASE PROCESS?
Families who have joined our contact list will be the first to be notified of breedings, pregnancy updates, litter sizes, sexes, and colors available. Kittens are under evaluation and will be available for reservation between 5-6 weeks. Kittens are available to those on our contact list prior to being advertised as available to the public. Once the required deposit is received to reserve a kitten, a signed receipt and Breeder/Buyer Kitten Contract will be sent via email which will serve as receipt/proof of reservation and will be honored as such. The Kitten Contract will outline all health guarantees and any additional Breeder/Buyer information discussed will be noted. Along with a Kitten Contract, all buyers will receive a very detailed email listing products needed to for feedings, care, etc and where to purchase these items. Kittens will be available for pick up following their final vet exam between 12-13 weeks. Upon final payment and pickup/transport, buyers will receive a House Bugatti Kitten Packet with a copy of Breeder/Buyer Contract, Health Records, CFA Registration Packet, Microchip Registration Information and a Welcome Home Kitten Bag.
WHAT IS THE DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO RESERVE A KITTEN?
A $500 deposit and signed kitten contract are required to reserve a kitten. We do not accept payment prior to birth of any litter as this gives us time to determine sexes, colors, and exact litter sizes. Once born, all kittens will be under evaluation and will be made available for reservation between 5-6 weeks. If all kittens are not reserved by deposit by our contact list, they will be advertised as available to the public. Deposits can be made via Zelle to the address jnrobino@gmail.com.
WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?
Kitten prices range from $2,000 - $2,750.
From time to time an older kitten (6 months - 1 year) may be available and will be priced a bit lower, typically between $1,500 - $2,000.
When we have an adult available, their prices will vary between $500 - $1500 depending on the circumstance.
These prices are for PET ONLY homes.
DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENT PLANS?
While we do not accept payments on any kittens prior to birth, we do accept incremental payments throughout the time kittens are still with us, once a deposit has been placed. These payments can be made via Zelle to the address jnrobino@gmail.com. When any payment is received, a receipt is printed/signed and sent to buyer via email to verify payment has been received. All receipts will be included in Kitten Packets.
DO YOU SELL KITTENS WITH FULL REGISTRATION AKA BREEDING RIGHTS?
As breeders, we have specific criteria to which we follow when approving a home for Full Registration. Only a select few, if any kittens at all will leave us with a Full Registration. By default, we do not routinely sell kittens under Full Registration.
With a Limited Registration, your kitten is in fact still able to be registered within the CFA, however any kittens produced by a cat with Limited Registration will NOT be accepted by the CFA.
DO YOU ALLOW VISITORS?
Due to the ongoing uncertainty of the pandemic, we are no longer allowing in home visits. We are more than happy to provide buyers with videos and picture updates. While kittens are still with us, weekly updates consisting of photos and videos are sent out to our families. Our cats and kittens are cared for within our personal home/property. We will not accept drop in visitors. Please be respectful of our policy.
DO YOU SHIP KITTENS AND WHAT IS THE COST?
Transport/Shipping is available upon request. Depending on the location, transport/shipping costs via air travel or ground shipment range from $450-$750. These costs include the required health certifications, flight/shipping costs, and shipping crate/supplies.
We work closely with in cabin nanny flight services as well as ground transport and have placed kittens via these services across the United States without issue.
CAN YOU HOLD A KITTEN FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME?
We understand our forever homes may have specific reasons for needing their kitten to be held for extended periods of time; be it family schedules, vacations, etc. We are open to holding kittens for an agreed upon period of extended time, should our families need. There are certain limitations on the time we may be able to hold a kitten, but we are extremely flexible and are more than willing to work with our forever homes on these issues.
*Boarding/holding fees of $175/wk or $25/day will apply.
ARE YOUR CATS HEALTH TESTED?
